    Hi
I remember I used to be able to sort the products by different methods, and I really want to do Newest first, with maybe bought products at the top of the pile, but even if I change the creation date of some products that have been added, they still stay at the top of the product list, but moved correctly to their position on the backend. Is there a way to make the sorting change on the frontend?

    Thanks

    Rob

  • Hi,

Whene? you enter to your backend in: Appearance > Customize… i think that you can have in Woocomerce the option to sort them as you like, by newest.

    Good luck!

Super, that great. What was odd is I had that option set before, but the sold items then also appeared at the top of the list. Now they don’t.
Can that be achieved. Newest first and then recently bought items on top?

    Hi,

The order of the shop depend of what you set on Customize. To display the recently bought you can try to use a widget (i’m not sure that exits (try Featured where you can select manually the Featured products on your Products admin page), plugin or see if your theme offer this filter.

Then you can organize your page display. This can be possible if you have a static page, in this case you can go to pages and organize your page.

    Good luck!

    Hi @robword

If you go to Appearance>>Customize>>WooCommerce>>Product Catalogue you can select the sorting for the front end display from the following options:

If you use the custom sorting option, the custom sort is done from Products>>Sort as explained here:

    https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/managing-products/#section-23

There is also a free plugin that allows the recently purchased products to be displayed in a widget:

    I hope this helps!

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.
