sorting date archive by category

I have seen this question before.
You can write a filter to change the main query, so that GROUP BY is used in the SQL (but it is complicated because categories are stored in different tables), or you could make a big query and sort it and then do the output. It kind of depends on the pagination and if you want all categories represented on each page or just the categories that are in the date range of the fist page.

could you link me the question, please? i don’t know how to code. i want all category that matched the date and i set my site without pagination because i think the posts is not too much

No, I am not able to find it (and I don’t know that it had a solution you could use).

since it’s an archive page you want to affect.
These other plugins are shortcodes, so you have to put them somewhere, so that’s not as useful for you (although some say you can easily copy the generated code and paste it in your theme template file –hopefully you would use a child theme for that).

The thing that you have in your example is some sort of order to th categories. If you want to have something separating each category, then that has to be in the code of the loop, which is the theme. It’s much easier without the separators.
