You can try [wpdm_tree] shortcode. Check the demo here https://demo.wpdownloadmanager.com/wpdmpro/tree-view/

It creates a tree view based on download category. You need WPDM Extended Shortcodes add-on to use tree view.

Thanks! And this is how it will look on the front end? And we’ll be able to tell which WordPress users are downloading what?

Hi — just wanted to follow up on this.

The demo you linked to (https://demo.wpdownloadmanager.com/wpdmpro/tree-view/) is how it will look on the front end? And we’ll be able to tell which WordPress users are downloading what file?

    Thanks!

Yes, that’s how it will look. And all downloads are logged in Download Manager.

Can I tell I tell which user is downloading what item? For example, can I see that User XYZ downloaded File123? Thanks.

For now, you can see from which IP user downloading an item. Soon, we shall add username / email instead of IP when logged in users download.

Can I upload full folders at once? I have everything set up locally on my desktop but can only figure out how to add one file at a time. Is this possible?

    Thanks!

You can upload all files in /uploads/download-manager-files/ dir using FTP, then you can attach those using server file browser ( Admin Menu >> Downloads >> Add New ). But we have a pro version with CSV import option and have an advanced CSV import add-on.

    (@ryanschaefer41)

Would I need to attach each of those to an individual post manually or is there an automatic way for each uploaded file to get it’s own post? There’s a ton of files.

Sorry, ( directory import & csv import ) options are only available with pro version.

Ok, I will probably buy then. If I do, then I can automatically have each file (PDFs inside of folders) uploaded to the tree with and it will let site users download?

Dir import only will work in signal level, sub dirs will not be imported, But the alternative is using CSV import.

    (@ryanschaefer41)

How exactly do I do that with files? And it will work with sub directories?

    Thanks!

Yes, you simply need to put the full file path in CSV.

    (@ryanschaefer41)

Is there a walkthrough on how to do this? Thanks.
