Sorting Images in Gallery

    If I want to use the sort function, nothing happens. I go to “Manage Galleries” and choose a gallery. If I then press the “Sort Gallery” button there, nothing happens.
    I expect that you can then sort the pictures in the gallery according to this video https://www.imagely.com/sorting-images-in-nextgen-gallery-2-0/.

    Thank you for your help.

    P.S. I use the Google Chrome browser on Windows 10.

    We are happy to help!
    Let’s check if it is an existing conflict:
    – Temporarily deactivate all your plugins except NextGen Gallery.
    – Is the problem solved? Then, it was caused by one of your plugins. Please check one by one and find the one causing the problem.
    – If the problem is not solved with the deactivation of the plugins, try changing to a standard WordPress theme, it could be a conflict with your current theme.

    Note: a full website backup is encouraged before checking for conflicts.

    Unfortunately the problem could not be solved this way.
    My WordPress is on version 5.5.1 and I use the “Fortun | Multi-Concept WordPress Theme” template.

    What else can I do?

    Ok, let’s check this setting.
    Please, go to Gallery > Other options > Image options
    Check “What’s the default sorting method?”
    It is not set to “Custom”. Please use “Custom” and save your options.

    One thing you should do after adjusting the sort inside a gallery is to use the button “Update sort order”.
