Sorting images in Gallery for display on a page

Thanks for your inquiry.

Dear user, please be aware that you can select to order by the description in the backend for viewing the galleries.

But for publishing the galleries you can select only the ordering options that are available in general options > Order by section.

Thank you so MUCH. The video was very clear. Sadly, I can’t think of a reason to order images by filesize,type or resolution. My only hope was to use description but your video has made it clear that is NOT an option either. I guess plan B would be to go back and rename each and every one of my 60 images. Not the response I had hoped for but you certainly did answer my question. Thanks again!

You can go forward and submit a feature request to be able to sort with image description too. Maybe our product owners didn’t think that one will need that option ever.
