Is there a way to tell which sites in a large multisite network are the largest/heaviest on the network? I’m thinking that some of the sites in my network should really be spun out into their own installs, and I have some ideas about which ones those probably are, but just wondered if there were some tools/techniques for looking at which subsites might be flying under the radar for me.

Would I want to (is there a way to?) find the total database size of a particular subsite by it’s table prefixes? If so, what would be the easiest way to do that?

Or do I want to be looking at some other metric for sorting this out?

How do you want to define heaviest?

Most posts? Most traffic? Most comments?

PHPMyAdmin lets you sort, so if you sorted by ‘size’ you’d get a good idea which DBs were large.

But generally I only worry about the size of wp_options since it’s the one that isn’t indexed.
