Sorting subcategories alphabetically

I think a better way, is adding code to the functions.php.
Found this interested page about pre_get_posts:

Yes, i try a plugin, but manual reorder the taxonomies is no option.
The reason: the webshop has 100+ categories and it is not handy do this manual every time add/delete categories.
I think it is possible with this function/hook:

pre_get_posts

At the moment, adding this snippet in functions.php:

function category_merken( $query ) {
  if ( !is_admin() AND is_tax( 'merken' ) AND $query->is_main_query() ) {
    $query->set('orderby', 'name');
    $query->set('order', 'ASC');
  }
}
add_action( 'pre_get_posts', 'category_merken' );

But doesn’t work.

Did you manage to find a solution as I see the subcategories is now sorted correctly alphabetically on this page – https://lolotte.be/categorie/merken/

At the moment no solution.

Yes, the first rows sorted good, but if you scroll down, then you see, it started agaign from A,B,C,…

@ctuxboy sorry, I see that now and I am not 100% why that is like that.

It makes it really easy to sort subcategories on a parent category page;

Or there is something wrong in the WP database after migrate the webshop.

It could be something in the database or it might be a conflict with your theme or another plugin.

What I will suggest is you set up a staging site and do a conflict test on there to see what it might be – https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/how-to-test-for-conflicts/

Yes, i do this.
At the moment, move a copy to my laptop for testing and looking inside the database.
Hope find the problem soon.
