• I always have to add product to my site, but I dont know how to sort my products so the newest isn’t first. Here’s an example.. I sell cases for phones so if there are 4 types of Samsung phones they will have to be grouped together for the customers to see all of the products. Problem is when I add something new it puts it first on the page. Which throws everything out of order and it looks horribly disorginized. How do I get it all back together? Please help. ??

How are you adding your products? Is it through a plugin, or using the standard posting system built in to WordPress?

Do you sort your posts somehow? BY that I mean, apply appropriate tags and / or categories?

ok I’m very new at this and I actually had a designer build the site for me. I’m going to explain it to the best of my abilities although they are very limited…

When I add the item on the page I have to select what catagory it’s in and what subcatagory. Then I add the feature image and click publish. So the title is on the top with a picture below it that can expand. When I do that however, it’s not putting similiar titles by eachother (ie: Samsung Admire next to the other Samsung Admire products) heres a link of what I’m talking about.. https://www.diyasinc.us/category/hard-cases/samsung/

BY default WordPRess is going to sort posts in the order you enter them… newest first.

There are many options for setting up different sorting. But … they are going to require making templates. Since you are sorting out your posts into categories and subcategories, they are technically already grouped together

You just need a way to display them as such. Possibly what you need is some sort of landing page, maybe showing the most recent entry from each category – which then links to a view off all products in that category?

This is something that would require coding however… do you still have your developer handy?

I asked these questions to my developer via skype and email and he hasn’t got back to me. I don’t know if he’s working on other projects and doesn’t want to be bothered. I don’t know what to do other than delete everything on the page and put them in the order I want them.. I really hope I don’t have to do that, is there any way that I can do it?
