Hi,

I’m currently busy migrating the site of our table tennis club to a new theme. We’re using your plugin to display youtube video in lightbox and we’re liking the plugin very much.

On the new site the displaying of the video’s works great. However when I close the video the sound keeps playing. Opening up a video the second time will not work.

You can see for yourself on https://test.ttvm.nl/tafeltennis-het-spel/video/ . Just click a video and it will autoplay. When closing the issue starts.

I did found that I have a lightbox theme option (all pictures are automatically lightboxed). When disabling this option the plugin works nice so they are conflicting.

Is there a way to overcome this?

Guess I was wrong. Even disabling the lightbox option in my theme doesn’t make the problem go away. Hope you can help me with this.

Hi Mark, I check your videos your provided in the URL above using Firefox. They open and close for me without any issues. What browser are you using?

Hi,

Today I tried several. I’m using Windows. I have issues with IE11 and Chrome on Windows. With Firefox I do not have issues.

Hi, I carried out some more test. When you open up on IE 11 as you mentioned above the sounds plays on the background even after you have closed the video. However if you refresh the website URL then when you play the video again and close it, the sound does not play on the background anymore.

Do you have a cache plugin installed?

Hi,

I checked with the theme developer. No cache mechanism is built in the theme and I didnt install additional caching plugins.

Hi Mark can you tell me if you have the IE6 fallback enable? If you do can you uncheck it and carry out another test.

I have it enabled. I disabled it but I do not see a change in behavior. If it helps I can send you an admin account of the website so you can have a look yourself.

@markb81, It might be a plugin/theme conflict. Please disable one plugin at a time to see which one is causing this issue.

Hi,

Disabling all plugins doesn’t make a difference. It looks like it’s conflicting with something in the theme and I really hope you can help me with it; cause the theme developers won’t.

Switching theme’s isn’t an option. Switching the plugin isn’t either. This is the only Video Lightbox plugin I could find that works this good. Else I’m back to embedding video’s again and I would not like to do that.

@markb81, I don’t really know how to troubleshoot this unfortunately. When I close the window it doesn’t show any error.
