• I have translated a product designer plugin to Dutch. Some trings which have been translated still appear in English. I noticed that these particular strings now have the Dutch translation between brackets as source text.
eg source text: COLOR [KLEUR] and translation: KLEUR
What is wrong with these strings and how can I get the translation to show in WP?
    Thank you for your help.

Sounds like you didn’t edit a translation file, but opened the template file and edited that instead. Don’t edit the POT template. Restore that file, create a Dutch PO file from it and edit that.

I suggest you work through the beginners guide before proceeding. https://localise.biz/wordpress/plugin/beginners

I have restored the file, created a Dutch PO file and edited it but the source text still has the dutch translation between brackets. Can it be something else?

The editor shows what is in the file, so the file you restored is still wrong.
