I placed everything in place and still analytics don’t seem to work for the AMP. Did everything I could.

Made a different GA property for AMP analytics, copied the tracking code and put it in the basic tracking template provided by Google and placed in this plugin’s analytics section without the HTML tags.

    Not working.

I compared the code injected by this plugin with code shown on Google’s website and found some differences.

    • The script tags are inside the amp-analytics tags in contrary to what is on Google.
    • Also, the script tag seems to miss src attribute. See screenshot.

Do you thing this could be the reason behind the failure because everything else is in place as recommended?

  • @prtksng Can you use the sample Analytics snippet feature within the plugins Analytics tab (with your own tracking ID) can you inform me whether you can view traffic using the Analytics real time report?

An alternative option is to use the Site Kit plugin with the Analytics module active to place your Analytics snippet.

I edited this topic 4-5 times in a short time span which marked it as suspicious and put it under moderation. I couldn’t wait so I created an identical one. Reply to this was earlier than that but I didn’t notice and checked the other one first where I’ve marked my issue as solved.
So if someone lands on this post in future, along with the above advice, this can also be checked and looked into.

@prtksng I can see your other support topic was since resolved. Glad to hear it’s now working for you, with your AMP URLs configured for Analytics.

Be sure to leave the plugin a review.
