• Resolved jayshields

I’m using the OceanWP theme on WordPress 4.9.8 and installed the Sticky Header OceanWP plugin. The header is now sticking, but in most browsers it does not stay at the top of the page – there is a space of about 2 inches above the header that I can’t get rid of. If I disable the Sticky Header OceanWP plugin, the header goes back to the top of the screen but then it doesn’t stick.
As a side note, when I go into Appearance > Customize, I don’t have a box for the Sticky Header (as I have seen in some videos).

Any idea how to remove that space above the header?
    Thanks.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi,
i had the same problem with this plugin.

    I did the following:
    – removed this plugin
    – got “Sticky Menu (or Anything!)”
    – enter “#site-header” as sticky element in the plugin settings

    Hope this helped.
The new plugin didn’t have this problem.

Thank you very much. That worked. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate that.

    No problem, glad i helped.

I also just noticed that thw website loads pretty slow due the high-resolution pictures(5MB+!! per picture)

You should really compress the pictures!
    EDIT:
i use the resizing feature of the faststone image viewer and sometimes compresspng.com or compressjpeg.com

issue has been solved, The plugin has been updated.
just plug & play the plugin.
you have also a shirk option.
Thank you very much for your ticket.

    Thanks for your reply!
I just re-installed your plugin and tested the shrink-option.

When shrinked, the header only gets a litte bit smaller but the logo gets a lot smaller and has quite thick upper and lower borders.

You can at a look at this: https://neuland-it.de/

@hendrikn: Which plug-in are you using for the header shrinking on neuland-it.de right now? For me, the ‘Oceanwp sticky header’ plug-in is not working properly.

    @actronab
This plugin now works fine for me.
Do you have the newest updates installed?
Can you give me the link to your site?

@hendrikn: Turned out I did not upload a logo for my page and I expected the page’s text title to shrink as well, which it did not. Now that I provided an image, the logo shrinks properly. It’s not as smooth as on your site, however. Did you define any custom CSS to alter the animation?
