Space above the slider

    Trying to lose the space above this slider…

    The big slider at the top of the page… note the space (100 px or so) between slider and header.

    Not sure where to look – Aglee Pro theme, siteorigin page builder, or the Slider WD itself.

    I’ve tried every setting and CSS fix I can think of.

    The space remains the same no matter what the window size. The space also appears on other sliders on the site, where it’s not such a problem.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you for posting about this problem!

    Could you please have a look at this screenshot? As you can see, this gap is created by the theme and SiteOrigin Page Builder.

    The content area should properly contain the slideshow, but it doesn’t. Most probably, it has a fixed height.

    Please contact your theme developers and ask them to have a look.

    Please open the SiteOrigin Editor widget used to add the Slider to your page. Untick Automatically add Paragraphs (it’s below the TinyMCE Editor) and then save the Page. How does that look?

    The remaining spacing is being added by your theme:

    Damn! I’ve been tripped by that %@#*&! checkbox before….

    Shame on me!

    There was also a 20-pixel margin on the page-content, but it was mostly that pesky checkbox.

    Consider setting it as disabled by default. To do this, please navigate to WP Admin > Plugins > SiteOrigin Widgets and find the Editor widget settings box. Untick it and save.
