• There is too much white space above the text in my last post (sticky). It’s between the date line under the post name. In editor mode I type in the first line at the top, but when published I’ve always got that wasted space at the top. Is there anything I can change in the css file to get rid of the space?

  • Looks like that’s a bunch of empty paragraphs –

    <p></p>
    <p></p>
    <p class="MsoNormal"></p>
    <p class="MsoNormal"></p>
    <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left;"></p>
    <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left;"></p>
    <p></p>
    <p></p>

Also, pasting from Word tends to add all kinds of incompatible code – that’s not a good way to add content to a website.

Thanks. I’ll take your advice and not use Word. But where did you find the code above? I don’t see it in my post when I look at the HTML. Wherever it is, if I delete it and avoid Word will the space then go away?

It’s visible on your site using “View Source” in Firefox – which shows the generated HTML code. Yes, try deleting the post and avoiding Word. You could try copying your text into a plain text editor, saving as plain text and then copying it into a new post.

I’m doing that and it’s working. It looks like I have to get rid of all the Word-created part. I’m doing that in a new post. I’ll re-name after it’s finished.

Word sure is convenient to get the text the way you want it to look. Didn’t know I was creating other problems.

    Thanks!
