• Hello, thanks a lot for this plug-in !
I’ve just moved from the footnotes plugin (https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/footnotes/) because of PHP compatibility issue. It also worked with (( )), but without space. I removed the space before (( in the “Begin A Footnote” option, and it works well. I was wondering why you advise not to do that ?

I was also wondering how to style the Jquery tooltip, can’t figure out what CSS classes to refer to.

    Thanks a lot !

    Hi,

I can answer that first one straight away… kind of… I adopted this plugin from the original developer so design decisions, such as this, weren’t mine. However, I believe it was to give a clean fall-back. So, let’s say the plugin gets deactivated by mistake, insisting the space is there ensures it still looks okay even if the footnote doesn’t get generated (you just end up with double brackets).

For the second question, I’ll do some digging and get back to you…

OK thanks, so it should not cause any issue that I delete this space.

For the jQuery tooltip, I’ve noticed that installing the plug-in changed the tooltip style of my Woocommerce products description. It seems your file tooltips.min.css defines CSS rules for the class ui.widget-content, but it applies to any tooltip, not just the footnotes ones.
