Space beneath menu bar

Hello, I am building a site using the Pen theme which is one of the most flexible I have use. However I cannot seem to find a way to adjust or remove the space beneath the main menu. I attach an image to illsutrate the point. I can’t view the CSS to see if there is an option there. Any suggestions? I appreciate that it would be easier if the site was online but its at an early stage and offline for now. I have stripped out most of the colours on this whilst progressing the layout. I should add that its mainly the space at the top of the content box above the image thats the main space to be removed if possible. Thanks for any inputs.
