• Hello All,

    I posted a blog article on my website here https://dahnawrites.com/5-ways-your-digital-marketing-is-making-your-competitors-money/ and there are spacing issues between the numbered items. I’ve tried deleting spaces in the digital editor and also in HTML view but the spaces return when I update the blog post.

    Also, the numbers are a different font from the rest of the text in the article (which is Verdana 14 pt).

    This seems to be an ongoing issue with blog posts that have numbered lists but not with bulleted lists.

    How do I fix both issues in WordPress 4.2.1?

    (NOTE: I searched the support site and most of the answers to these questions are several years old so I decided to post a new question.)

    Thank you for your help.

    Dahna

  • I think nothing is broken. The numbered lists are html <ol> elements. Inside them there will be <li> elements The display of these elements usually is controlled by CSS.

    reference

    you seem to have paragraphs inserted at those locations, just with a ‘non breaking space’ character;

    <p>
    			&nbsp;
    		</p>

    try to go through the content of the post/page, using the ‘text’ setting of the editor, and remove those sections.

    Thank you, St. Even and alchymyth. But, alchymyth, what is a ‘non breaking space’ character. What does it look like? I’m sure I can do it once I know.
