Thanks for using our plugin!
When one of our old customer finishes fill out the review she got a SPAM Advertising with other websites and products.
I can not understand how do you think you can put a SPAM advertisement on anybody’s website without them allows you this disgusting SPAM?
We will show relevant products and reviews from your store as recommendations to customers who bought something at another store. In exchange, product recommendations from other stores will be displayed on review forms created for your store.
Please refer to this article for full information about this feature: https://help.cusrev.com/support/solutions/articles/43000592925-product-recommendations-on-review-forms
We don’t like SPAM and would never create any “SPAM Advertising”. What you referred to as “SPAM” are relevant product recommendations that are based on reviews. The recommendations are displayed on confirmation screens of review forms and not on your website.
I use your plugin about 1 year ago and I tested it. And did not include this SPAM.
Product recommendations were introduced recently. We sent notifications about this feature to everyone who created an account and registered the plugin. If you didn’t register an account, unfortunately, we could not know your email address and notify you about this feature.
Immediately I want to switch off this thing on my website.
We will be sad but you can definitely do it. Our plugin stores all reviews in your WordPress database using the standard WooCommerce format. So, you will not loose any reviews and they will still be displayed on product pages.
However, you might loose some sales because your products and/or services won’t reach additional audience of customers from other stores.
I do not want advertising for free for others!
As I explained above, it is not just you doing it “for others”. The main principle is reciprocity. Every time a product from your store is shown as a recommendation on another store’s review form, that store “earns” the right to have one of their products recommended on a review form of some other store (including yours).
In the era of Amazon, it is tough to be a small e-commerce store. The product recommendations feature is an attempt to enable small stores owners to support each other and benefit from access to an extended network of customers.
I hope it answers your query.
