Spam blocker necessary???

    I would like to ask is Spam blocking plugins really necessary?

    I don’t have a blog page.

    Has anyone ever had major issues with spams?

    If you don’t have a blog page and you don’t allow comments or registrations, you do not need a spam plugin. If you have a contact form, then you need either a bot trapper (like “WordPress Zero Spam”) a spam filter (like Akismet) or a reCaptcha (part of most form plugins).
