• After many months of shameful neglect, I’ve returned to maintaining my blog, only to find 1,810 spam comments. I manually trashed and deleted all but 158 of them. My problem: I can’t get rid of those last 158. There’s no checkbox that allows me to apply any action to them. Is there any way I can get rid of them?

    Thanks.

  • Hi there,

Looks like you are facing it due to some WP settings or lack of updated plugins or PHP version.

There might me another one reason. Are you using any plugin for access management?
Many people face this problem due to access management plugins.

    Thanks ??

Thank you, Shawon. There’s a Web designer who’s supposed to be managing the blog, which has been incorporated into my other site. That could be the issue.

You’ll notice that it’s running on 4.6.4 instead of 4.7.3, the most recent WP version. There used to be a button on the dashboard that let me automatically update to the latest version. That button is no longer there. The Web designer’s use of access management plugins could have something to do with that. I definitely will ask him.

    Thanks again!

    Any time @galan05

I am always open to help ??
