Spam filter shutting off

  • Why would my spam filter (WP-SpamFree) shut itself off? I was originally using Akismet, however after it shut itself off, I uploaded WP-Spamfree and turned that on. After a few days it seems to have turned off. I can keep turning it on, however why would this keep happening?

  • When you say “shut itself off” do you mean you had to re-enable the plugin?

    Who else has access to your blog’s admin?

    If you have a rough idea of when the plugins are shut down, you might check your web server’s error logs and see if any errors are happening around that time. Or check web server access logs and see if any other admins were logged in.
