On second thought, I’m going to close this thread down now because the steps to resolve this have been posted throughout this thread and they just need to be consolidated.
In general, all subscriptions will be listed at https://www.ads-software.com/support/users/[your-username]/subscriptions/
This is not the case currently, but it is being addresses. WordPress is developed and supported entirely by volunteers, and we’re working as hard as we can on the free time available to use to address these things.
Currently, only specific topic subscriptions will be listed there, but did you know that you can also subscribe to entire forums, plugins, and themes? If the threads you’re receiving emails for aren’t listed at https://www.ads-software.com/support/users/[your-username]/subscriptions/
then that’s probably exactly what has happened.
It’s actually even easier to find out, the key is at the end of the email. Each type is covered below, along with how to unsubscribe. Look at the bottom of the email for the following:
“You are receiving this email because you subscribed to a forum topic.” This means that you subscribed to a specific topic. You can unsubscribe by visiting the URL and clicking the “Unsubscribe” link in the sidebar below “Topic Info” or by visiting https://www.ads-software.com/support/users/[your-username]/subscriptions/
“You are receiving this email because you are subscribed to a forum.” This means that you subscribed to all of the topics from an entire forum. You can unsubscribe by visiting the forum for the URL and clicking the “Unsubscribe” link in the sidebar below “Forum Info”. For example, this thread is posted in the Miscellaneous forum. You can see that, as well as the link to https://www.ads-software.com/support/forum/miscellaneous/ at the very top of this topic.
“You are receiving this email because you are subscribed to a plugin.” This means that you subscribed to all of the support topics for an entire plugin. You can unsubscribe by visiting the forum for the URL and clicking the “Unsubscribe from this plugin” link at the top of its forum. For example, https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/official-jetpack-support-resources-1/ is posted in the Jetpack forum. You can see that, as well as the link to https://www.ads-software.com/support/plugin/jetpack/ at the very top of that topic.
“You are receiving this email because you are subscribed to a theme.” This means that you subscribed to all of the support topics for an entire theme. You can unsubscribe by visiting the forum for the URL and clicking the “Unsubscribe from this theme” link at the top of its forum. For example, https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/where-is-the-supporting-documentation/ is posted in the Twenty Sixteen forum. You can see that, as well as the link to https://www.ads-software.com/support/theme/twentysixteen at the very top of that topic.
This should cover everything. If the above doesn’t work out, and you are still receiving subscription emails, please make sure that the email you are receiving them at is the same email as your www.ads-software.com account (you might have more than one account). If that still doesn’t work out, please take steps to automatically delete these emails in your email client until we can get the subscription listing up and running properly.
Please do not mark these emails as spam, as that will have a negative effect on everyone who legitimately wants to receive these subscription emails.
Update: As mentioned below, all subscription types are now listed at https://www.ads-software.com/support/users/[your-username]/subscriptions/
