    Hi,

A client’s site recently started getting dozens of spam leads even though there’s a reCaptcha in place. And the info coming through contains empty fields despite those fields being set to required.

    — What can be done to resolve this?
    — Would additional spam prevention plugins deter bots bypassing reCaptcha and required fields and sending messages directly?

    Thanks in advance!

Required fields are enforced using javascript so that does not surprise me. What you can do is to add business rules with the scope table/entity which will enforce those at the backend.

As far as recaptcha is concerned, it’s not that difficult to bypass. Perhaps you can give the v.next of the plugin a go – it includes support for v3 of recaptcha.
