After upgrading to the latest versions of WordPress and Spam Karma, I get the following error on the SK2 Options Page:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class sk2_blacklist in /home/dobovedo/www/www/wp-content/plugins/SK2/sk2_plugins/sk2_blacklist_class.php on line 9

The options page shows me the ‘credits’ information and that error appears at the bottom.

I am getting no help from the Spam Karma site and I am right now running without the plugin because I can’t configure it.

Does anyone know what this error means and how I can fix it… or any alternative plugins? I am getting bombarded by web.soduko spams.

  • Akismet is a good alternative.

Cannot redeclare, you’re getting this msg, ‘coz plugin is already installed. Do following:

    1. Deactivate plugin, if you can get into WordPress admin panel. Or login to your ftp account and remove plugin from the plugin folder.
    2. Login to your phpMyAdmin, and delete all SK2 tables, and open wp-options table and remove all entries of SK2 from there.
    3. Once done, copy and activate SK2.

That did the trick.. got it all cleaned out and then reinstalled/activated. I figured it was something I needed to do in the database buy my MySQL experience is minimal and I didn’t want to go mucking about in there!

    Thanks Rok!
