SPAM message due to recaptcha v3

  • Hi,

    My users are facing problems submitting messages via contact form 7 due to recaptcha v3. I could reproduce the problem on my Mac using Safari and Firefox. There users receive the message “There was an error trying to send your message,” surrounded by an orange border. Chrome works fine.

    After searching the Internet, I found several entries about the same problem. The solution suggested there is to continue using recaptcha v2. Unfortunately, contact form 7 officially supports only recaptcha v3. With another WordPress plugin you could re-enable v2, but it’s still a workaround and does not solve the original issue.

    Do other users have similar problems with v3?
    Could contact form 7 also officially support both recaptcha versions, v2 and v3?
