  • I have heard that it is google checking out the process of your store , if you are using adwords or google shopping ads. I have the same emma rose 4 times at 2 of my stores, with different Gmail addresses, so it could be google checking out the store!

In my case 2 stores are not connected to Google at all. No Adwords. No Shopping Ads.

    Interesting, thanks

There is no way it is Google. They would not do that and have been indexing the checkout process for years.

I banned her IP and haven’t seen her again. The captcha option also worked but hurt conversions so we disabled it.

She only targeted my old stores that were not updated or in use. I think updating everything is a big help also.

    Good luck!

I am getting hundreds of these orders from Emma Rose, Simon Nox and Debbie Mowers. They always fail, but they are annoying. I have added re-captcha to the WooCommerce checkout, but that doesn’t stop the orders from coming. I just received 22 orders in 1 minute. Anyone got any other ideas?

I have a client getting tons of these also. I block the ip but shortly after they change it. Some orders have actually gone though but credit card processor has caught and held them automatically. The IPs seem to be associated with OVH hosting and I have just submitted a complaint to them to see if it helps any..
The store they are hitting is 100% up to date. All coming from Emma, Simon and Debbie. We have high priced items on the site which im guess is why they are targeting us.

Wow, she is famous! She keeps trying to get stuffs from my Shopify store, too. but she is caught by Shopify’s built-in security check for CC processing. But she is not giving up! Unbelievable…

That nocaptcha recaptcha plugin isn’t working for me. Any other suggestions?

I’ve been watching these orders for about a year on only one of the hundreds of websites we manage. I’ve come to believe this is a test order automatically placed by PayPal, Authorize.net, Clover, or some other payment-processing system, checking the websites ordering system or security.

Are you offering CASH ON DELIVERY? This is a bot that is looking for this payment method. A note to those that think this is Google or Payment Gateway, it is not. They don’t run checks like that at all.

I have been getting cancelled orders since December 2018 from emmma rose about once a month, sometimes two in a row, in my Woocommerce orders. Same address, different emails. I do not offer COD. I started my Woocommerce store in March 2017. This only started last December 2018.

I’ve left them in my order list. Should I delete them? Any solution to stopping them?

    @texasmouse

This is a known bot. Right now the solution is to add a captcha to the checkout.

Happens with clients of mine as well.

    These are the email addresses:
    [email protected]
    [email protected]
    [email protected]

    These are the IPs:
    192.99.66.39
    158.69.228.225
    198.27.110.161

This solution has worked well for me since my original posting:
    https://codecanyon.net/item/woocommerce-checkout-recaptcha/17346203

I have the same problem on my woocommerce site in Italy since a couple of years:
emma rose, allen street 2, 10004, New York. This happen one or a couple of time monthly.

The payment chosen is always PayPal, but as no payment follows, after one hour the order is automatically cancelled.

Never I had any sort of problem with my paypal account, my site, shop or whatever because of this.

So when I see these fake orders, I just delete them.
I don’t want to add a barrier with some captcha o recaptcha, in 13 years I never had a loss and this until now is the single “bother” I have.
