Spam Protection and other Comment Systems

    Hi,

    Looking at this plugin and understand that it integrates with the default WordPress commenting system. Am I missing something here but aren’t I likely to receive loads of spam by using this…Consequently, what do you recommend, Akismet?

    Also anyway this can be used in conjunction with other commenting system e.g Disqus. It’s suitable for some post types such as products but not all such as blogs.

    No – that’s a really misleading statement. This plugin doesn’t encourage spam. How you control spam on the comments of your web site is your responsibility – whether that’s Akismet, a reCAPTCHA or whatever.

    No, it works with the WordPress commenting system only.
