• Hi, I am using very efficient spam protection with another CMS (Drupal). There is a method to declare a message as spam if there is, say, less than 20 seconds between visiting the page and sending the form. This is the most effective method we have at this site.
With WP and Contact Form 7 many times I have many spam messages “hammered” into the form within one second or two. We do not want hosted solutions as Recapcha for privacy reasons.

Is there anything like this in Contact Form 7?

    Hello @julius35,

I don’t know of any antispam method like the one you mention, but if you have coding skills, you might find useful this post from the official documentation: Custom spam filtering.

    Best regards,
    Yordan.

Thanks Yordan, but what is the advantage to code it that way when you can blacklist the words in the settings/discussion and CF 7 will regard this?
