• Hi,

I have two issues – one of which has led to the other.

    1. I use the BuddyPress reCAPTCHA plug-in to stop spammers registering on my site. Literally overnight this stopped working. Users could see the world ‘Captcha’ at the bottom of the form, but there was no code and no field to submit it anyway. All my subscription and registration forms were basically dead ends for my customers.

    2. We turned reCAPTCHA off, but this inevitably opened the floodgates to a ton of spam registrations. To temporarily combat this, I switched registration off (unchecking the ‘Anyone can register’ box). Despite doing this, spammers are STILL registering. I have no idea how this is possible!

Does anyone have any theories? I am tearing my hair out over this (I am no WordPress expert).

    Many thanks

  • I try to looks inside of your website register panel and the captcha looks ok, but I don’t try register an account.

    I recommend two things:

    1. Notify to BuddyPress Plugin author. And / or read BuddyPress documentation because looks like an setup problem or server side problem.
Yesterday I had the same problem with my captcha plugin and was a setup problem in user side.
    2. Try to uninstall and install the plugin again with the last version.
