spam reviews but reviews not turned on

  • Woke up to spam comments in the form of reviews on some Woocommerce products.

    However, reviews aren’t turned on for the site AND there is an anti-spam plugin installed (I know that won’t stop everything, but still). Any ideas on how they got there? Worried it’s a big problem.

    Difficult to say from the “outside”. Maybe check whether you’re using template overrides under **WooCommerce > System Status**.

    Hi Riaan, thanks for your response. I checked that and the only overrides don’t seem like they’d affect reviews; they’re just related to emails when someone makes a purchase.
