Spam spam spam spam spam

  • Used to be an easy way to add Google Analytics to customers’ websites. Now all it does is spam the admin interface and, as of the last 48 hours or so, also your email address. Without an option to unsubscribe. Or rather there’s an option to unsubscribe, which takes you to an option which SHOULD let you unsubscribe, but it’s greyed out. It’s the final nail in the coffin for this plugin as far as I’m concerned: I’m having to write a spam filter specifically for MonsterInsights’ emails, and I’m slowly replacing it across all customer websites. I’ll be glad to be shot of it and its relentless, unnecessary nagging.

    Thank you for your feedback. When it comes to the email newsletters you can unsubscribe by using the link at the bottom of the emails.

    However, if you are referring to the weekly summaries, we released a feature a little earlier than expected. We are in the process of creating a patch that will resolve this issue for you.

    In the meantime, you can disable the email summaries within the MonsterInsights settings.

    Insights ? Settings ? Advanced ? Email Summary. 

    And toggling the option off.
