Have you tried enabling reCAPTCHA to see if it helps?

An actual plugin designed for this may suit you better. We recommend you use one of the plugins that are focused only on blocking spam, such as Akismet. I don’t personally have any experience with the CleanTalk plugin. But if you decide to use and run into any issues, please let us know.

I looked at Wordfence some time ago, I don’t recall why I did not turn it on after testing but now I see it is not compatible with WooCommerce, which we use.

It looks like CleanTalk supports WooCommerce so I will give that a shot.
