Hi, thanks for such an amazing plugin.

I find a topic that recommend to add a hidden field to grab the IP from the user to find out if there are spamming manually from Russia or other country. The thing is that I tested from different computers and countries and I get always IP 127.0.0.1
Can you help me find out how to fix this?

    Thanks in advance,

    Hernan B

    Hi @bensita

    Hope you are doing fine.

Getting the visitor IP address as 127.0.0.1 is mostly caused by Firewalls or Proxy servers located between the hosting server and the users. In a configuration like this, the proxy server makes the call to the site and since it is most likely located in the same host/network, it shows as a local IP address.

Could you verify this with your hosting support team? Explain to them about the hidden field you have implemented, besides the results for the visitors IP address values. They may be able to adjust the configuration to allow the IP addresses to get through and show in the submissions of the form.

Hope this information helps. Let us know if you have additional questions or concerns.

    Kind regards

    Luis
