    Hi!

What does the setting “Spam word sensitivity” actually do? If it stops mail from being delivered, then where can I find them?

    Best regards,

    /LS

  • It essentially blocks the submission from going through, you might check your backend entries however most will not go through.

    Hope this helps,

    Thanks!

Backend – Do you mean the mail server? The blocked messages won’t even reach the “events” list in the plugin…

What’s the scale here (minimum and maximum values)? Does 1 give higher or lower protection?

One more thing… Is there a setting in Visual Form Builder that might prevent messages to be sent from certain IP numbers/areas or domains? When I made some tests only messages with addresses/accounts hosted on the provider’s servers went through (which is not very useful ;))

    Best regards,

    /LS

    Hello LS,

I am sorry for the delay in my reply the higher the number the more strict the setting. The lower the setting the more strict it is.

You can use third party plugins and tools or server side tech to block submissions/blacklist.

    Thanks,
    Joseph

    Hi!

I don’t quite follow you here… Higher, lower – More strict in both cases?
Also, how high does the scale go (9, 99, 999)?

    /LS

I have this question as well since one of my clients is getting a TON of spam coming through. Your answer contradicts itself. What is the answer – is the higher number stricter or is the lower number stricter? Thank you in advance!

I found the answer from a help topic from almost 3 years ago, coming from Matt Muro, the plugin author. The answer: The lower the number, the greater the sensitivity; the higher the number, the less sensitive it is.
