Spambots are taking over my site

Have you tried out the ‘Bad Behavior’ plugin? It’s worked wonders for my site.

Try adding Cloudflare to your site which can reduce the spam.

I would also use Akismet.

Also set your registration to manual approval for now (you can change it later once the spam subsides).

Set to approval? How. I just turned it of with Settings/General/Anyone can register. I would like if there was approval.

Go to discussion settings and click on the check box that says the comments will appear only after approval by admin (not the exact words there) and save the settings.

Oh I have that on. They have tried to spam comments but I spammed them before they appeared. Its the bbPress one that I’m having problems. @steven Jones Thanks for that plugin. Might just be what I need. Does it work with all themes?

I ma using Block Spam my Math https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/block-spam-by-math-reloaded/ and works as only humans can answer a random math question.

I have seen many bots get by these. The put it in google and google finds the answer.

I am not having any problem my website.

Well your pretty lucky. I made a fake new post page for bbPress with a math question on it and the bot got passed it in a few seconds with the right answer too.
