spamware/adware on a theme

Is the theme from https://www.ads-software.com/themes/ ? If so, what is its name?

The x on the top right (that usually closes things) does not get rid of the banner.

You’re right, that advertisement is not allowed. Taking a closer look this theme has had that for some time too. :/

The author has been notified about this and if nothing is done on the author’s part the theme will be suspended until it is corrected.

I am flexible on one banner to the author(s)’s website or maybe a pro but keep it in your theme’s page/section. Also make sure I can close it.

Was this the responsible way to report a theme? or is there some e-mail I should of sent? tweet? etc…?

https://www.ads-software.com/themes/one-page/ was not available. 30 seconds ago I tried the link again and it works. It is there.

What does that mean?

It likely means the theme has been fixed. Do you still have the same problem with it?

Yes. The theme’s author has removed that.

I’ll download the theme sometime later today. I’ll update if I find anything there. A little voice inside my head…what if he/she did something else or hid it. I will however be a nice community member and give him/her benefit of doubt (or whATEVER IT IS called).

If I recall correctly, when a theme is reported to the Theme Review Team, the fixed version has to go through a full review again before being re-published.

Curious to hear your findings. ??
