I think this is a great plugin and I have been using it for a year or two for a community website. There’s an issue with the latest update though.

I am using the shortcode like this:

    [mla_gallery post_mime_type=application/pdf post_parent=all link=file mla_viewer=true columns=1 orderby=date order=desc numberposts=1 attachment_category=newsletter mla_link_text='<span class="newsletter">Latest Newsletter</span>' mla_target=”_blank”]

But since the update to 3.12 it is literally rendering the span but on the on the page as the code not as html

    <span class="newsletter">Latest Newsletter</span>

So it looks like the code is hanging out instead of rendering as a button as it should.

I have rolled back to version 3.10

Hope that you make it work again with html in the mla link text

    Thank you ??

Thanks for the positive MLA feedback and for your report. You have encountered a flaw introduced in MLA v3.11 when some security issues were resolved a bit too aggressively.

I have corrected the problem for my next update, which will come out after WP 6.4 is released. If you need an interim fix I can upload a Development Version for you. Otherwise, you will get the fix shortly, and I will mark this topic resolved when the next version is released.

I have released MLA v3.13, which contains the fix required for this topic. I am marking the topic resolved, but please update it if you have any problems or further questions regarding the handling of HTML tags in shortcode parameters. Thanks for your patience in awaiting the new version..
