• This past weekend, I gave my site, speakbold.com, a complete overhaul, and just finished the final touches last night. It’s a little graphics intensive, and not recommended for dial-up users, but I kept everything as small as I could without sacrificing visual integrity.

I’ve tested it in Firefox, IE, and Operah, and it seems to lay out farely well in all of them, but best of all in Firefox (obviously). Let me know if you experience any issues.

At any rate, it’s the look I’ve been wanting. Feel free to stop by and make yourself at home.

  • I am on dial up (Cant help it- I live in BFE South Dakota and its my only option) and had no problem what so ever loading your site. I love all the pictures that are posted on the main page. Would make a visitor want to check it out more. And yes, please share how you created them, or do you manually resize them in PS for the front page? Great job on the site.

Hey, Buffy. Yes, the pics on the front page were manually cropped in ps. I just placed a link to them in the excerpt field and styled the excerpts with css. Placing the link is made pretty easy with Exhibit.

Thanks for the comments. I’m thrilled to hear that it downloads well on dial-up.
