    Hi,

We’re sorry to hear that you’re having issues with the Yoast Duplicate Post plugin.

Just to confirm, are you using the latest version of WordPress 5.6.1 and Yoast Duplicate Post 4.1.1 on your website? Also, is the Eventchamp theme a paid theme or can it be found on the themes repository on WordPress? And this theme can create a CPT called ‘Speaker’ which uses a separate editor for the content, and the issue is that when you use the ‘Clone’ feature with Yoast Duplicate Post, the text boxes of the cloned Speaker post become uneditable, is this correct?

Just to be sure, we would like to rule out any plugin or theme conflicts that may occur. The fastest way to do this is to?deactivate all non-Yoast plugins and switch to a standard theme?like?Twenty Nineteen.?

Test this on your development or staging site, if you have one. If not, we recommend using the?Health Check & Troubleshooting?plugin. This plugin allows you to run a conflict check?without affecting normal visitors to your site.

As we can imagine that you’re unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we’d like to point you to a step-by-step guide that will walk you through the process:?How to check for plugin conflicts.

(in your case, the minimum requirement would be for you to use your preferred theme and the Yoast Duplicate Post plugin in order to try and reproduce the issue and identify the theme or plugin conflict)

    Hi Michael,

Thank you for very fast reply.
Let me answer your questions first.

Just to confirm, are you using the latest version of WordPress 5.6.1 and Yoast Duplicate Post 4.1.1 on your website?
    Yes for both.

Also, is the Eventchamp theme a paid theme or can it be found on the themes repository on WordPress?
Paid theme, but they don’t have a great support like you Yoast. More than one week waiting for the answer. ??

And this theme can create a CPT called ‘Speaker’ which uses a separate editor for the content
Yeap! And the problem happens in a specific text box for the theme.

and the issue is that when you use the ‘Clone’ feature with Yoast Duplicate Post, the text boxes of the cloned Speaker post become uneditable, is this correct?
Here is what happened. I installed the Yoast Duplicate plugin. Just after a cloned the first speaker post, all the text box on the CPT got frozen. I can’t see and I can’t edit the conttnt of theses boxes, but the texts are still there because I can see them in the frontpage.

I just finished the tests with the Healh Check plugin. Sounds like the problem is that for some reason the Eventchamp Elementor plugin broken after I cloned a speaker post. This plugin activate all the CPT for the theme. So, I have no idea what to do.

Thank you so much for your help!!!!!

    Hi,

Since it’s a paid theme, it might be difficult on our end to try and replicate the issue.

But since you mentioned you were able to try and perform a conflict check, and if you are able to clone a regular post or page, it sounds like the issue might definitely be coming from the Eventchamp theme and the ‘Eventchamp Elementor’ plugin that is creating the Speaker CPT.

When the issue occurs when attempting to clone a Speaker CPT, perhaps you can try checking your browser’s console and checking for JavaScript errors — https://yoast.com/help/how-to-find-javascript-errors-with-your-browsers-console/

We would recommend reporting this to the Eventchamp support team as well so they can help get the issue resolved.

    Hi @edulemoz,

We haven’t heard back from you in a while so we’re marking this issue as resolved due to inactivity.

You’re welcome to create a new forum topic if you have any other questions.
