special category for syndicated posts

Hi,

I’m syndicating content from other sites on my blog (using feedwordpress). I setup aggegator in a such way that all syndicated content goes to a designated category – “syndicated”.

How can I setup WP so that posts in that category will not show up on RSS feeds, main page, etc.? IOW, I need to treat this category separatedly and I’ll be writing custom code to display posts from this category anyway.

It is possible in stock install/with the help of plugin?
If not, can you at least point me out the direction I need to look for to hack my installation?
