If you set your site language to Chinese(中文),with this plugin activated, when you navigate to site admin backend -> Plugins page.

    This error will show up:

Fatal error: Uncaught ValueError: Unknown format specifier "?" in www/wp-content/plugins/webp-converter-for-media/src/Plugin/Links.php:82

and the Plugins page will break. And you will never see this plugin and the plugins below because of the error.

Tested in 2 sites both local and remote, same result.

Please make your links’ character normal coz there are a lot of Chinese users.

    Hi @freeduke,

    Thank you for your message.

The problem is that the WordPress community added an incorrect translation of the phrase into Chinese. The original phrase is “%1$sSettings%2$s” translated to “%1$设置%2$s” when it should be translated to “%1$s设置%2$s”. I have informed the author of the translation to look into the matter and fix this problem.

By the way, I also checked other translations into Chinese and other languages – there is no similar problem. This problem concerns only this one phrase.

    Best,
    Mateusz

@freeduke I got information that the translation has been corrected. Please download the plugin translation update in your WordPress and the problem should be gone.

Could youconfirm that everything is working now, please?
