    Hi!

I’m experiencing a bug in selecting an image visible in the Stories media library but cannot be selected because the special char in the URL is different from the URL i get from the WP media Library.

I have a few images in my WP media library with special characters in their filename. For example:

    morocco-Ai?t-Ben-Haddou.jpg

The URL I get from the WP media library is:
    morocco-Ai%CC%88t-Ben-Haddou.jpg

When I select the image within the Stories plugin media library to be added to the story it changes to:
    morocco-Ai%25CC%2588t-Ben-Haddou.jpg

And therefore it’s not working within the story.

I’m aware I can upload a second image with a correct file name but I still wanted to let you know this bug.

Hi @luckynasan, Thanks for getting back to me. I don’t need any help fixing the issue. It is still a draft story anyway. I’ve fixed it by uploading a new image with no special characters.

I simply wanted to report the issue as there seems to be a small bug in selecting the image within the Stories plugin media library.

    Thanks for your report!

It looks like we got a very similar report for this the other day, where such special characters are unexpectedly escaped twice. We’ll pass this along to the dev team to look closer into it.
