• Hello and thanks a lot for an incredible plugin.
However, I recently experienced experiencing issues with it, after moving my site to another server. Special characters, like german Umlauts, end up being exchanged:

    Fr??hlich am Freitag 34/2018: H?¤tte, h?¤tte, Fahrradkette

Any idea what might be causing this?
SQL db and WordPress are set to utf8mb4

I know by now that it is related to this specific installation of wordpress. Could you tell me where Feedwordpress is storing its data in? I’d like to find out if it is a Collationproblem. thanks!

I seem to see a similar issue with one of my installations.
I’ve upgraded from mysql 5.5 to 5.6, I tried making sure all tables used utf8mb4, but it still seems like when the insertion is made it is done using latin1.
When looking at the debug mode of the plugin, it seems that the simeplie is presenting the fetched post with the correct encoding, but something in the insert is not working properly.
I’d be very happy to get this resolved as well.

@bumblebeegames – feel free to email me if you want us to exchange any further thoughts on this matter. (tal.galili on gmail)

Any update by anyone about this?!
