Special characters in last name

Are you referring to the username field or First/last name?
Can you please try to enable Force Strings to UTF-8 Encoding in Ultimate member -> Settings -> Advanced and see if this fixes your issue.

I’m referring to the Last Name field. The UTF-8 encoding is forced.
It is weird because in the First Name field it works ok.

It looks like the issue is with the database table configuration or a plugin/theme conflict, can you please do a plugin/theme conflict test?

I’ve actually managed to fix it over Christmas by DISABLING the Force Strings to UTF-8 Encoding. Now it works brilliantly.
