    Good evening,

I’m trying to tweak one of my header menu items titled “Search and Filter.” At the moment, I have an emoji lightbulb after the title. I was wondering if there was a sophisticated way where I could add a magnifying glass instead or something of the sort that was styled similarly to the font? I just don’t want it to look too cartoony.

    Best,
    Milton

  • Hello Milton,

Can you please describe how you added that bulb icon?

    Hey Roman,

I used my phone to login to my dashboard, and texted in the light-bulb (as an emoji) into the menu title box. My phone emoji board also has a magnifying glass, but that and even the light-bulb is a bit too cartoony for me.

I didn’t know if there was a character from a “special character” list that could be inserted essentially as text with the same font and color of the other menu items that I could use instead which could provide a more sophisticated feel. Or if there was anything even close to this desired effect.

    Best,
    Milton

    Hello Milton,

You can try to use the Menu Icons plugin:

Thank you for this Roman and putting me in the right direction! I ended up using WP Menu Icons as it worked the best for my specific case, just in case any other user comes across this support page.

    Okay, you are welcome Milton!

    Kind Regards, Roman.
