• Hello,

I have translated some articles into russian and ukrainian on my blog.

Some words has been unfortunately translated.
Example : “Clinica Blabla” into “Клиника Blabla”

But when I want to replace “Клиника” by “Clinica”, Better Search Replace dont find “Клиника” in database.

Each time I search words with special characters, Better Search Replace find nothing.

I tried “case insensitive” yes and no.

Except special characters, for normal words, Better Search Replace work perfectly.

    Can you help me ?

    Thank you

    Hi @goldrazor ,

Better Search Replace Support Team here. Thanks for reaching out with your query! We would be happy to assist.

The plugin can search and replace special characters, but you would need to check your database and see how the special characters are encoded. Better Search Replace uses WordPress functions to retrieve data from your database, so it’s possible that WordPress could be running some encoding process before it reaches the Search process of the plugin. Also, to isolate the issue further, you can try to temporarily deactivate plugins one by one and see if the issue persists. Another thing that may be causing issues is server-level security software like ModSecurity.
