• Hello!

I don’t need any payments, paypal, etc. in my project.
I need function: when user type code in special field will get higher access level for example 30 days.

I will give special code from base for user (code will be removed after someone use) -> user type this code in special field on the website -> user get higher access level.

It is possible with Membership 2 plugin?

    Hey there abby28,

    Hope you’re well today ??

This is definitely possible with Invitation Codes add-on. You can setup free membership levels and use invitation codes. The way it works is after registration when users try to sign up for a level they need to enter the code in order to sign up for it, see screenshot https://screencast.com/t/hifxk2z7lUI.

However, the above add on is not available in the free version of the plugin. In order to use it you’ll have to upgrade to premium.

    Best regards,
    Bojan

    Sounds great!

I have some question about it.

Should I buy Membership 2 Pro plugin, and then buy Invitation Codes add-on? Or maybe this add-on is free for Membership 2 Pro users?

Is invitation codes will be uniqe? For example if I’ll send unique code for user, I don’t want situation when he sends this code for other user.

    Thanks for the help!

    Hello abby28,

I hope you are doing good.

If you buy our Membership2 Pro plugin you will get following add-ons which includes coupon code add-on.

Fully integrated coupon system – offer special promotions and attract new users
Admin-side protection rules – protect elements inside the WordPress Dashboard
Custom post-type protection – protect post-types not native to WordPress core
Advanced media protection rules – more control when protecting media
Network Wide Protection – manage membership on your entire Multisite network from one place.

Yes you can restrict how many times invitation code can be used. You can set settings of how many users can use invitation code. So you won’t get situation where one user sends his code to other one.

I just bought Mebership 2 Pro and something is wrong.
I put some test code, and I set “Max uses: 1”.
But I created 2 users for tests and they are using same code and it works…
Invitation Code add-on doesn’t see that someone use this code.
    Check this:

Hi Abbey, I hope you had an awesome weekend.

I can confirm this is indeed the case invitation codes can in fact be used more than once even if set to one use only.

As you are a Membership2 Pro user could you please open a ticket here and one of our team will jump right on it for you.

Many thanks for pointing this out to us.

    Have a great day!

Yes, I have Membership2 Pro, but I bought this plugin from here https://wpmupremium.com/wordpress/membership-plugin/

Does it mean, that I must buy again from premium.wpmudev.org ?

If I try to only create an account on premium.wpmudev.org, the site want more than 200$ for year subscription…

    Hey there,

This plugin on its own is only $19 from us, the price you quoted was for a full membership which gives access to all of our plugins and themes.

Unfortunately, www.ads-software.com rules prevent us from supporting commercial products in this forum, we also don’t support pirated copies sold by lazy third parties.

    https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Forum_Welcome

There have been a number of known incidents in the past where such people place security vulnerabilities into the code, this could compromise your site, your customers data including any personally identifiable information, password and financial transactions, especially where you take their credit card details. Unfortunately, we wouldn’t be able to support any situation which arises from that.

Of course, if you wish to continue using the plugin, that’s entirely up to you but we definitely wouldn’t support that, as you can imagine, it costs us a lot of money to employ talented people.

To discuss the commercial products further, you would need to contact us directly to ensure we don’t take over the WP forums ??

All the best with your project.

Sorry but I’m just normal user of WordPress. Please don’t blame me, I just wanted buy plugin from some legal source instead download from warez…

So I must buy this plugin from premium.wpmudev.org and then someone will repair this plugin? Invitation codes are more important thing on my website. Of course I can pay for this plugin again, but how can I be sure that someone will fix that?

    Hey there,

I’m not blaming you, sorry if it seemed that way. What I’m doing is explaining the potential issues that you could face, we’ve had people come back to us after they’re sites have been accessed through a backdoor, it’s more to protect you than anything else. Some services also sell old versions, but rebadge as the latest copy, this can also mean you have an outdated copy which can be a security risk.

Please do contact us directly, of course if there is an issue in our latest plugin version, we’ll fix that.

In fact, once you contact us we’ll ask for a copy of the download you got from them. We can then track their account from this. In exchange, we’ll give you a free month of access to our version as a thank you.

Just quote this ticket when you email us through the form:

    Take care.
