That’s very unusual. Are you using any feed-related plugins or Feedburner plugins like FeedSmith? Those types of plugins like to control your feeds and redirect them to one place. If not, it’s possible that either your WordPress theme or plugins outside of PowerPress are causing the problem. This page has suggestions on how you can diagnose the issue:

I host the podcast files at my own webspace, so there’s no other feedburner plugin or something else.

I installed two feed related plugins: RSS Image feed and Smart Youtube PRO. I deactivated both – no success. I deactivated WP Rocket also – no success either.

If we can’t find a solution this way, maybe there’s a chance of a shady hardcode? I submitted the “feed/podcast/”-feed to iTunes. The only fix I need is about the links for Android/Rss in the subscribe widget and under the podcast files in an article. Can I hardcode them? Where? Thats not pretty or substantial, but at least I would have gotten what I need.

For troubleshooting purposes, have you tried switching to a default theme and checking the PowerPress settings to see if anything changes? Sometimes themes do squirrelly things with RSS feeds.

    That nailed it!

The theme was the problem. I checked out some theme options where I could deactivate some RSS options! It’s now working like a charm! Thanks a bunch!
