You will need to set a “Posts page:” under Settings > Reading within WordPress to get the blog breadcrumb options to become available for modification. After you have done that, go to the Breadcrumb NavXT settings page and, under the General tab, enable the “Blog Breadcrumb” by checking the box next to “Place the blog breadcrumb in the trail.” and saving your changes.

I’m using a customized page for my blog, so I don’t use the default setting. Is there any other way to set the root page for the default post?

Is there a reason you can’t set said page as the “Posts page”? You still should be able to use the home.php file in your template to customize that page (see https://developer.www.ads-software.com/themes/basics/template-hierarchy/#home-page-display).

I’m using a visual builder which will dynamically construct the page in real time, so I can really setup the home.php for that. How can I customize the breadcrumb to specify the root page?

Dear Kaoruc, I have the exact same problem. How did you resolved to specify a different root page?
