Specify update date in user submission

What would be the purpose of manually entering the update date. When links are submitted by users, the update date is when they submit the link to the site. Are you trying to use Link Library for a different purpose than storing links?

I’m using Library Link to link to presentations. Each presentation is given on a specific date. I would like to enter the date of the presentation in the update date and order the presentations by this date. I can do it through the back end by checking set manually, but would like to do it through the user submission form, as well.
